Welcome to the World

The prepations are progressing: from the 2nd to the 5th April 2013, Luxembourg will be the host of the XVIIIth World Congress of the social pedagogues. For this occasion, we are attending about 500 professionnals from different countries all around the world. During four days, the exchange between colleagues about different practises will be a daily occurence. International cooperations will serve us to fix common aims and help us to find solutions.

The most important aim of our daily work consists in our contribution to promote actively integration, social inclusion and equal opportunities. Our daily engagement for children, teenagers and adults with their needs is very important in order to achieve the aims to a certain coherence in our society. A high quality work in the different social and educational institutions needs a maximum of professionalism. This can only be achieved with a good co-operation between all the actors. With a systematic international cooperation, the networking process will lead us to amore efficient work with lots of new ideas.

In a multicultural and modern society, everybody working for integration and social equality is very important. Luxembourg, as a traditional immigration country since its economical and industrial development, is a prime example of cohabitation between cultures.

As organisors of this big international event, we will do our best to you keep these four days in your memories.
